I worked on the DC-DC converter project, did the mechanical engineering work - the casting design, and connection. It’s an aluminum housing with fins, potted inside. This is the first time I’ve ever seen the finished van. I didn’t think anything ever came of the project.

Man that is a lot of F series trucks. It must be a regional thing cause I don’t really see enough in the Northwest for that number to make sense.

Not really. Even though Andy said he’s “Not Going There”, the GMC Sierra is made at the same factories, on the same assembly line with 95% of the same parts as the Chevrolet Silverado. Combined, they outsold the F-series last year. Read more

GM full size tucks sold 892,679 units. Do you think GM seriously separates the sales figures? It’s all profit to one company. Other than the badges, the grills-taillights, and interior trim they’re the exact same vehicle. They make them on the exact same assembly lines.
